Our beautiful bride & groom from last weekend!

Once again fires are blazing in Southern California filling the sky with ash, smothering out the sun and giving the world a hazy, eerie orange glow. Stepping outside, it looked like God’s automatic post-production tool. I took these photos of my brother-in-law, Daniel who by the way is one of the coolest kids I know, during the peak of these conditions. What you are seeing came straight out of the camera, no color or contrast tweaking was done to these images whatsoever. After being outside for just 15 minuets we felt that grungy feeling of sitting around a camp fire all night. It’s hard to imagine what the firefighters are going through being right next to the blaze.

Katherine & Brian had a beautiful intimate wedding at the epic Bacara Beach Resort. Sonia Hopkins of XOXO Bride created the gorgeous design of the wedding. To round out the list of fantastic, we had a blast working with our friend Cheryl Mac who filmed the entire wedding in an exquisite, nostalgic style using super 8 film. I was honored to find out that I placed in the top 10 of the international Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalism Association 3rd quarter Contest! (Getting Ready Category) During this shot of our darling bride, Quinn, her aunt walked in the bedroom door to see her niece all dolled up in her wedding dress. I had already composed the shot to take a candid when she walked in, where I was able to catch the emotion on her face looking back at her.

Anna had a great time informing people how to improve their business & handle the delicate art of sales during the last Ask & Learn Wednesday. We shot our awesome clients, Producer Barry Josephson & Actress Brooke Geiger at the beautiful Chase Palm Park across from East Beach in Santa Barbara. They were so fun to work with & obviously weren’t too nervous around the camera!

I’m uber excited for this quarters website update! The new people & wedding galleries have about 60% new images, many easily siphoned out from these blog posts we’ve been busting out. Below is a 1-minute memorial of now retired images from the previous wedding & people galleries. They served us well... sniffle...
